If you liked the music in Homestuck, you can help.
I’m in a situation where I have to decide if I can continue to work on music for a living. The last few months have been rough for me; a job opportunity opened up that would have enabled me to make a steady income while still leaving plenty of time and energy to work on my music, but after I spent a month working toward getting that job, the door closed.
As it is, I live a hand-to-mouth lifestyle, working on music for contracts as well as relying on my Bandcamp album sales. Every month is a start from square one for me, and there have even been weeks where I haven’t been able to buy food. Something’s got to give. If I can’t find a way to boost my music career, I’ll have to put my passion aside and take up an hourly job to support myself. I’ve come so far in my composing journey; I don’t want to have to turn away from it now.
But I’m not throwing in the towel yet. Life is going to have to drag me kicking and screaming away from doing what I love.
I’m launching a Patreon campaign. This has the potential to provide me with a sustainable source of income, and will give me more opportunity than I’ve ever had to write new music and function as creatively as possible. With your support I could even start putting together my next album, which is something my finances have been preventing me from doing.
If you want to help out a starving Homestuck musican, go to my Patreon page and consider becoming my patron. I recorded a video that explains the whole process, and I think you’ll agree that it’s a pretty cool system.
Nothing fulfills me more than writing music for others to enjoy. With a little bit of your help, I can keep doing that.
And even if you can’t support me right now, please reblog this post and help me get this message to as many music-lovers as possible!
